We are so lucky to be right in the middle of a huge arable farm with endless possibilities for those who love to get out and about on foot or bike. At this time of year the countryside is overflowing with beautiful colours. There are views to be found around every corner and we are in the best position to explore.

Choose a route straight from your front door and out across the fields or take a short drive to Blandford to join the North Dorset Trailway - a cycle friendly track which runs the length of the old railway line. Our favourite route is to go through the sleepy village of Stourpaine along the trailway to Shillingstone Railway Station for a quick ice cream and then on to Sturminster Newton for an explore before heading back. Take a look at this map for more information.... ndtrailway.jpg (851×582) (northdorset.net)

There are endless pub walks too, the huge map in Rose will show you all of the local footpaths linking up lovely villages full of charm and character. Why not yomp across the fields to The Anvil Inn, The Langton Arms or Tarrant Gunville Farm shop?

There are some some fabulous walking routes in Wareham Forest with several acres to explore. The forest is full of free range cows, masses of wildlife and plenty of beautiful views. The forest is made up of heathland, pine woodland and trails so there is loads of variety.
Whatever your preference when it comes to a good old walk there is plenty on offer!
Enjoy!
