Friday Night Suppers
Take the hassle out of your first evening on holiday
12 May 2022

The first evening of any big group holiday is so full of excitement and joy. Everyone has waited for months to come together, often to celebrate a milestone birthday, an anniversary or even sometimes a wedding.

We know that catering for up to 20 people is a lot and to do so after a long journey can be exhausting and distracting when all you really want to do is catch up with your friends and family.

We are so proud to be able to offer you our Friday Night Supper bundles to make your first evening completely stress free. Much of the food is sourced from the farm, beef from our cows, eggs from our chickens and veg from Anna's veg patch when the seasons allow!

These freshly prepared dishes will be left in the fridge of Rose Cottage on Friday ready for you to heat and eat when you arrive. All of our dishes are homemade to order so if there are any dietary requirements we can easily accommodate these.

Please choose a main and a pudding for your group from the following options or let me know if you have a firm family favourite you would prefer.

Main Courses

  • Lasagne with garlic bread, herby green salad and a homemade dressing
  • Quiche of your choice with a tangy homemade coleslaw, herby green salad, potato salad and a homemade dressing
  • Shepherds pie with minted peas
  • Vegetable pasta bake with herby green salad and a homemade dressing
  • Chicken curry with rice, naan bread, mango chutney and raita
  • Chicken fajitas with wraps, guacamole, tomato salsa, sour cream, crunchy leaves and cheddar cheese (please let me know how spicy you like them!)

“'Hi Anna  - just to thank you so much for our fantastic weekend in your cottages.  We had a great time – the accommodation contained all of us + the dogs; the food on our first night was delicious; our second night which was the celebration for John’s 70th went so well with a table that could fit 20 of us and then the sitting room area where we could hold our ‘performances’ and quiz for him – many lovely memories. I love that part of Dorset – I was brought up in Salisbury with grandparents in Bournemouth and aunt, uncle, cousins in Southampton, so it all felt very familiar. We would love to come back one day – everyone thought it was great.  I’ll put something on TripAdviser. Good to meet you albeit briefly.  Hope we left everything in good order. Best wishes Ro and family'”

“An absolutely fantastic holiday property. The perfect size and layout for 18 people.   Highly recommend having an evening meal made for you by Anna. Plenty enough to go around and to a high standard. Made life so much easier!!   Everyone enjoyed their time. This place is definitely one to stay at”

“Lovely cottages, we had a brilliant holiday. You could easily have 20 adults and have plenty of space inside and out. The local pub, The Anvil was a 40 minute stroll, you could go cross country or road, decent food and the staff very proactive with Covid precautions. Cottages all clean on arrival, with Covid paperwork. Felt clean, safe and welcoming. This property is rural and on a working farm which was lovely and well kept. Lots to do locally, cider farm, brewery in Blandford, National Trust properties and lots more - really good location. I would recommend this property and hope to return. ”
